In a very daring move, prominent Egyptian actress Nabila Obeid has announced that she has lowered her wage for her upcoming television drama series “Hikayet Hub” (A Love Story).
Nabila has made this selfless decision in order to allow the production company a larger budget, hoping to increase the quality of the series.
The actress stated that her financial sacrifice “means more money will be spent on technical issues, resulting in better quality.”
It has been suggested that many recent dramas are of poor quality due the extremely high wages demanded by actors.
Nabila has refused to reveal any details about the drama, written by Majdi Saber and directed by Majdi Abu Ameireh.
Nabila confirmed that the rumor of her nomination of controversial Egyptian singer Ruby for a role in her upcoming film is false.
She stated that she was shocked to learn of the rumor and stressed that neither she nor the director ever nominated Ruby for any role in the film “Ma Fish Ghair Kida” (Nothing more than this.)
The cast of the film has been chosen, and the person who created the rumor was looking to publish a tale, she added.
