Egyptian actor Nabila Obeid threw a raging party to celebrate her birthday after returning from the United States.  The fest was also an effort to disprove the recent rumors of her death.

Rumors claimed that her trip was due to a sudden deterioration of her health.  Friends close to Nabila revealed that the death rumors stemmed from medical tests she underwent while in the US, asserting that she is in perfect health.

Nabila was touched by the concern of her fans over the rumor.

Nabila, still alive, is currently working on a new play directed by Samir Al Asfouri, and based on an international novel.

On a different note, Nabila breathed life into her new singing career in the film "Ma Feesh Ghair Kida" (Nothing Besides This), featuring twelve musical performances.

The story revolves around a single mother struggling to raise her son and two daughters after her husband deserted them at a young age.

The film, directed by Khaled Al Hajjar, stars young Egyptian actors Sawsan Badr, Ahmad Azmi, Khaled Abu El Naja and new comer Arwa Joudeh, who play the roles of her children.

Throughout the course of the film, the family's status is changed when one of the daughters becomes famous.

Nabila and her children perform a song written especially for them by Kawthar Haikal.
