The renowned Egyptian actress Nabila Ebaid decided to reopen her cinema production company, which she closed 17 years ago, for her bad need of producing cinema projects which failed to find an enthusiastic producer.

“My wish to produce a number of cinema projects which I have been dreaming of and the failure to find an enthusiastic producer who can venture his capital were behind my last decision,” Ebaid told the London based daily al Sharq al Awsat.

These films include Hammam al Nisaa (Ladies Bathroom) which the late director Hasan al Imam was wishing to direct and Emraah Mutheerah (Exciting Woman) based on a story written by Imam in 1981 and was rejected by censors at that time for being very daring.

Ebaid indicated that her first production after coming back would be the film Sijn al Zawjiyyah (Married Life Prison). Last Ramadhan, she starred in a radio series for the Middle East Broadcasting Corporation bearing the same title along with Mahmoud Abdel Aziz and Mahmoud Hemaidah.

The actress reiterated that screenwriter Mahmoud Abu Zaid is currently embarking on wrapping up the script before she begins shooting it along with the same stars -- Albawaba.com
