Nothing says "creepy" like a fan stalking and threatening his idol!
Lebanese star Myriam Klink is the latest victim of celebrity stalking. The model and singer revealed in a recent interview the lengths one of her fans has gone to, to make her life a living Hell.
Myriam said that story started when she posed next to a yellow Lamborghini for an Instagram photo shoot.
One of her Khaliji fans from the UAE saw the photos and got in touch with the singer. He told her that he'd love to send her a Lamborghini as a gift.
After months of talking, the fan claimed to have brought the car to Beirut - where she resides - and wanted to meet up with Myriam in person to present her with the car.
Myriam said she would bring her friends along and meet him, but the fan insisted that she meets him alone at his hotel where "he had a surprise waiting for her."
When Myriam declined to meet him, the Dubai fan turned nasty: He began to comment on the way she dresses, while criticizing the way she reacted to the videos he sent her, which showed famous Arab celebrities in compromising positions.
Myriam defended herself by telling him how inappropriate he was behaving.
The fan was having none of it. He told Myriam that he came all the way to Beirut with a Sheikh so that they could tie the knot.
Myriam was shocked; she had no idea what he was going on about. The singer made it clear that she never made him any promises, while he was furious that she "lead him on" during the months they were in contact on social media.
That's when Myriam's delusional fan started bombarding her with numerous threats.
He threatened to remove her social media accounts, to hurt her in her home and to even kidnap her.
Myriam addressed a message to the creepy fan, telling him that "You can do whatever you want to my social media accounts; I can create new ones every day."
She continued, "I'm not afraid of you, do what you want."
Myriam's Facebook account is currently closed. Her 18+ mobile app is also facing technical glitches for an unknown reason. She believes that he's behind all this.
Finally, Myriam urged all women to be extra vigilant and to be cautious when talking to strangers on social media.
