Egyptian actress Muna Zaki has taken the role of Egypt’s Cinderella, late actress Suad Husni, from her rivalry Egyptian actress Hanan Turk. The two have been struggling for some time to win the part in the new film “Al Andaleeb” alongside prominent Egyptian actor Ahmad Zaki.
Muna and Hanan went through a crucial competition that ended with Hanan’s elimination after the production company felt that she is an over exhausted actress in addition to her frail figure that makes her incapable of portraying the role of the Cinderella. Muna was fully approved for the role because her body and attitude are fit for the role and her face has a romantic essence to it.
Most of the cast of the film including Ahmad nominated Muna for the role feeling that she will excel in portraying the late actress. Muna immediately agreed to the role and signed a contract with the producing company to be the second actor in the film to do so after Ahmad.
Zaki is also preparing to take part in the new movie entitled “Al-Dunya Hilwa Wayak” (The World is Beautiful with You) alongside Egyptian actor Hani Salamah. The film is written by Majida Kheirallah and directed by Issam Alshama'.
The movie revolves around the concept of fate and how it leads our lives to unexpected spectrums. Muna performs the role of a girl who was traveling to see her fiancé but by a turn of fate falls for another man who was traveling with her on the same plane.
Muna was also been nominated by Egyptian director Mustafa Al Akkad for the leading role in his upcoming film “Al Khawana” (The Deceivers). The actress has accepted the role revealing that she is filled with excitement to be nominated by such a great director made her not care about what the story of the film is or who will be costarring in the film. She did not give the director any conditions for her participation and simply stated that it has always been a dream to be in one of his movies. –Albawaba.com
