Muna Zaki expecting

Young Egyptian actor Muna Zaki has announced that she will devote all of her time to her upcoming film "Al Ishiq Wal Hawa" (Love and Romance), a fated love story set to the backdrop of a romantic musical score, to be screened this summer season.

 

“Love and Romance” also stars Egyptian actors Ahmad Al Sakka, Muna Shalabi and Khaled Saleh.

 

Directed by Kamelah Abu Thikri, the film revolves around a pianist and successful business man who fall in love but are separated for along period of time by circumstances beyond their control, and eventually reunited.

 

Upon completing the film she will not be accepting any new roles in order to dedicate herself to her daughter and prepare for the arrival of her second child, Muna revealed.

 

According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Muna stated it has been an eventful year that began with her performing the religious pilgrimage, Hajj, with her husband actor Ahmad Hilmi, and will end with the birth of her second child.

 

American director John Hayman has nominated Muna for a leading role in the upcoming film "Nefertiti", written by Egyptian archeological Ahmad Otham who resides in England.

 

The events of the film revolve around the time of Nefertiti’s reign over Egypt and after the death of her husband the Pharaoh Akhnaton. The film has faced criticism because the events are depicted according to the historical viewpoint of Otham, whose thesis "Mouses and Akhnaton," argued that Akhnaton is the holy prophet Moses, reported the Egyptian daily Al Akhbar.

 

Muna has been nominated for the leading role in the new film "Ilaka Baree’a" (An Innocent Relationship). Directed by Amir Shaker and written by Mohammad Aziz, the film revolves around how the internet influences younger generations, even leading them into become involved in intimate relationships online.

 

Muna plays the wife an officer who becomes preoccupied with his work and rarely spends time with her, leading her to become involved in an innocent online relationship with a foreigner. The film tackles the addiction people develop to chatting on the internet.
