Prominent Syrian legendary actress Muna Wassif stated that the year 2011 was the worst in Syrian history and she is very saddened by what it held of pain and suffering. She added that the current revolution taking place in Syria has brought so much bloodshed and tension.
Muna said that she is in so much despair to the point of not knowing what to say or express her feelings towards the conditions in the streets. The actress said that she wishes the current year would end and take away with it all the agony and pain and have things return to normal.
With regards to her expectations for the New Year, Muna stated that she wishes from all her heart that the year 2012 will be the year of peace and security to Syria and all the Arab world.
Muna added that she also wishes the New Year will be full of rainfalls to wash away all the blood and pain in the streets and people’s hearts.
