Young Syrian actor, Mohammad Rafea, was kidnapped by a gang of armed men this week. According to the group, who call themselves 'Katibat Ahfad al Sideeq', Mohammad is already dead but the star's family haven't yet given up hope.
The actor's father, Ahmad Rafea, was told about his son's kidnapping by one of Mohammad's close friends. The proud dad pleaded with the kidnappers to show mercy for the sake of their country but the words apparently fell on deaf ears.
However, Mohammad's brother, Noor, has not given up on his famous sibling. He told reporters that the death was not yet confirmed by any independent sources and Mohammad may still be alive.
The 30-year-old Syrian star is best known for his work on dramas, Bab al Hara (The Neighborhood's Door) and Al Zaeem (The Main Man) although he has acted on many other TV shows.
