Egyptian singer Mohammad Fouad surprised his fans with a much thinner version of his old self this week.
Rumor has it that the previously "chubby" star resorted to liposuction to shed the extra pounds. That, however, doesn't seem plausible, as Foud's weigh-loss isn't as dramatic as some of his fans are making it out to be, and certainly not one that would have required a procedure like liposuction either!
But according to some news reports, Fouad went for the makeover after having his upcoming Ramadan TV series "Al Daher" cancelled, implying that depression and self-esteem issues may have had something to do with it.
Whether that's true or false is unknown, as the show is still on as far as Fouad is concerned, according to an interview with Al Quds Al Arabi.
The singer-turned-actor told the news outlet that the Ramadan series was written by Tamer Abdel Monem, but he's not at liberty to discuss the plot or details of the production.
