ALBAWABA - Famous Egyptian star Mohamed Ramadan recently sparked outrage on social media after fans noticed his outfit during his performance at Coachella, a music festival held in California, USA.
The star appeared wearing an outfit allegedly made out of gold, resembling clothes a belly dancer would wear. As always, Ramadan confidently carried himself during the live performance, but Egyptian fans were quick to notice his bizarre dance moves, which they compared to a belly dancer as well.
Mohamed Ramadan started swaying his hips left to right, a dance move usually performed by women in the Arab region. Moreover, wearing an outfit made of gold didn't help his case either, since men are prohibited from wearing gold in Islam. An Instagram user mocked Ramadan and wrote, "Haha, does he think that he's Myriam Fares or Shakira?"
Another wrote, "What is this... a belly dancer outfit?! What is happening... oh God."

The famous Egyptian star sparked controversy as well during his visit to Mumbai, India, as part of his performance for the Women's Premier League for Cricket.
He appeared wearing a 24k gold shirt and shared an Instagram post of it with the caption, "If my outfit is 24K gold, my fans are pure diamonds," garnering more than 130,000 likes on Instagram as fans took to its comment section and praised Mohamed Ramadan. A fan wrote, "The best gold suits you, legend."
