Preparations are currently underway to produce an ultramodern animated film based on an opera called Al Layla Al Kebira (Great Nights), using the three-dimensional graphic technique.
The opera was written by the renowned poet Salah Jahin, composed by the mega-musician Sayyed Makkawi, and will be directed by Ali Bader Khan.
Hussni Al Rahmawi, who heads the company producing the work, told the Egyptian daily Al Ahram that the use of the 3-D technique to transform Al Layla Al Kebira into an animated film was the first such effort in the Middle East – Albawaba.com
