Young Egyptian actress Mina Shalabi has been nominated for the leading role in the upcoming Ramadan social drama “Ayyam Jalilah” (Jalilah's Days).

The actress was nominated by director Hisham Akasha. The show will tackle the sensitive issue of handicapped people, how society treats them and the problems they face on a daily basis.

According to Laha Magazine, Mina is taking some time to carefully read over the script before making any final decisions.

The script was written by Akmal Mustafa and filming is expected to begin in January, once the whole cast has been nominated.

Other actors nominated for the drama are Egyptian Suad Younis, Nahed Al Subai and Syrian actor Ayman Zeidan.
