Lebanese musician Milhim Barakat revealed in a television interview that he considers Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram to be a “down to earth” singer, while on the other hand he perceives Najwa Karam to be a conceded singer who is “full of herself.”
Najwa was angered by Milhim’s comments and denied being conceded, stressing that she is a very simple woman who does not behave as if she is better than others.
It has always been her motto to be a simple person in order to succeed, explained Najwa, stressing that conceit only leads to failure and she refuses to fall victim to such characteristics.
Najwa has announced that she will not hold any concerts during the Muslim holiday Eid El Fitr. The only appearance she will make is at the end of Ramadan on the final episode of the program "Akeed Maestro" (For Sure a Maestro).
After the holidays Najwa will hold a number of performances around the Arab world, starting in Dubai and Qatar.
Sources have revealed that the singer will give a special New Years performance in Florida, USA.
Najwa’s upcoming album is scheduled for release on November 14. A number of prominent composers like Wisam Al Ameer, Nizar Francis, and Sameer Nakhleh contributed to the musical score.
Several Arab channels have begun airing Najwa’s latest music video "Hubak Wala" (Your love is addictive), filmed under the direction of Salim Turk, marking their fist cooperation together, reported Elaph.
