Syrian director Mohammed Isama'el has started shooting his new TV series "Kawabees Muntasaf al Lail" (Midnight Nightmares), according to Asharq al Awsat newspaper.
The series, written by Osama Murshed, stars a number of Syrian artists including Adeeb Qaddourah, Jihad Abdoh, Safaa Raqmani, Sabah Barakat, Bassam Lutfi, Georgy Jibarah Lebanese Magi Abu Ghosn and many others.
Director Isma'el's eight-episode TV work tackles the life of many urban families, tracking their destiny and all events affecting their lives, yet focuses on Abu Assem’s family. The center character in this family is comprised in the elder son Assem, who initially works as an accountant and then becomes a contractor.
Being a fierce opportunist who does anything for money, Assem kills his friend and colleague in a very disgusting way out of jealousy. Since then the nightmare of killing starts following Assem everywhere till his wife, Huda, discovers her husband’s story.
The series, in general, depicts the good and evil in life in a very smart way in which the conflict is stepped up to reach the peak then to be solved. It bolsters the values of love, fair competition and battling life with confidence and honor. - Albawaba.com
