Prominent Egyptian actress Mervat is preparing to shoot the first scenes of her upcoming film "Tafil Fil Zinzaneh" (A Child in Jail), which is written by Nawal Mustafa and directed by Wael Ihsan.
Actresses Summaya Al Khashab and Mai Izz El Din will be costarring alongside Mervat and the remaining cast is yet to be decided.
According to the Egyptian based daily, Al Ahram, the film revolves around social issues in particular children who are born in prison to convicted mothers, their future/destiny, and how society looks at them.
Amin had previously declined all offers to star in films, stating that she did not want to ruin the image she has worked so hard to create since the beginning of her career.
Mervat also declined offers to star in international films due to the weakness of the scripts, in addition to the fact that the roles she was offered were minor and did not suit her.
The actress stressed that her focus on television drama is not a substitute for the cinema, and that all of the dramas she has starred in have augmented her career and her image.
Mervat asserted that she is very satisfied with her looks and never saw the need to undergone any form of plastic surgery.
“I do not believe anyone should change the appearance God gave them, and I warn all those who undergo plastic surgeries of the consequences they will face down the road,” Mervat admonished.
“I maintain my looks by exercising regularly, eating healthy, and getting the right amount of sleep. Most importantly, I hate no one so as not to reflect such negative emotions on my face, and in turn I lead a healthy and peaceful life,” she explained.
