Turkish actress Melisa Döngel has become one of the most talked-about names in a major investigation that continues to attract widespread attention in Turkey.
According to Turkish media reports, investigators examined digital materials allegedly obtained from a mobile phone linked to the actress as part of an ongoing probe coordinated by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Authorities reportedly reviewed message records, social media content, photographs, and other digital data after receiving the necessary judicial authorization.
The investigation gained further attention after reports claimed that some of the messages found on the device were included in the official case file. Investigators allegedly identified conversations related to the procurement of prohibited substances, according to Turkish media outlets. Investigators focused on individuals suspected of conducting illegal sales through Telegram and other social media platforms.
According to reports, prosecutors issued detention orders for 50 suspects. Simultaneous operations were carried out in Istanbul and Sakarya. Authorities detained 43 suspects, while efforts to locate the remaining individuals continued.
Officials alleged that members of the network used encrypted messaging applications and social media accounts to facilitate the sale and distribution of prohibited substances. During the raids, authorities reportedly seized cash, firearms, ammunition, suspected narcotics, mobile phones, computers, and other digital materials.
