ALBAWABA - Mashrou' Leila lead singer Hamed Sinno was arrested in New York City during a pro-Palestine march/ protest amid the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since Oct. 7, 2023.
According to El Fann, During the incident, pro-Palestine protestors merged with LGBTQ Pride Month marchers by breaching some barriers and stopping the ongoing march for around 30 minutes which resulted in the arrest of several individuals including Mashrou' Leila lead singer Sinno.

Moreover, there were around 12 activists who after they breached the barriers, threw some red paint resembling blood in reference to the Palestinian lives lost from the ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza. They sat down on the ground to stop the march with t-shirts saying "Queer as in Free Palestine."
They were also holding posters that had written on them, "Palestine will be free" and "There will be no freedom without Palestine's freedom."
