Lebanese singer Maria has denied recent circulating rumors in one of the magazines that she is purposely promoting smoking in her latest music video “Ibtikdib Alai” (You Lie to Me). It was stated that the fact that Maria appears holding a cigarette in her hand in the clip is the biggest proof that she is encouraging the idea of smoking.
Maria stressed that she never had the intention of promoting smoking in the clip, but on the contrary, adding that those who criticized her and began throwing accusations should have paid more attention to the next scene where she is seen coughing from the cigarette smoke. Maria added that she had thrown the cigarette on the ground to show that she has no desire to smoke.
