Margot Robbie and Ackerley, both 34 years old, first crossed paths in 2013 while filming the WWII drama Suite Française. Robbie was an assistant director, while Ackerley was an actress.
After that, at a small ceremony in Byron Bay, Australia, in December 2016, they tied the knot. Before their wedding, the couple kept quiet about their engagement.
In addition to Ackerley, Robbi's childhood friends Sophia Kerr and Josey McNamara make up the LuckyChap production team; the three of them were initially friends.
