The beginning of the Lebanese artist Melisa’s music career was tied to the famous Lebanese artist Elissa due to the similarity in their names and both were discovered by the producer Jan Saliba.
According to the London daily Elaph, Melisa is younger than Elissa and according to some more attractive. There is also a similarity in their voices.
The comparison has come to an end with the release of Melisa’s latest album. The album has a new and different style and it is far from being compared to Elissa’s style.
‘Rotana’ launched Melisa’s new album “Mfakar Halak Meen” (Who Do You Think You Are) at the “Forum Due” in Beirut. The production company is trying to launch a new style of artists that can communicate with the new generations and are more like the western singers.
About a thousand fans attended the launch of the new album. Malisa was successful in making the audience go wild over her music.
Melisa sang fours songs from her new album and the fans were asking her to repeat the song “Mfakar Halak Meen.” After finishing her performance Melisa thanked everyone that came, leaving the stage to the famous American DJ George Okista who is great at mixing eastern music with western beats.
