Syrian actor Maksim Khalil won’t make a return to the small screen after all, as the star continues to turn down opportunities to star in Syrian drama productions.
He has decided not to act in dramas filmed in Syria because of the precarious security situation, and that even if the filming was done outside the country, it’s unlikely he would accept a role, according to the website Ana Zahrah.
He recently turned down a role in “Khawatim” (Rings) directed by Samir Barqawi and last month refused an offer to star in Rasha Sharbatji’s production of “Raq Al Habib”. Rasha later quit saying she was not convinced by the plot.
Have your say: What do you make of Maksim's decision? How do you feel about partaking in cultural activities in the middle of such a bloody conflict?
