Syrian actor Maksim Khalil has confirmed that he will not be appearing in any of the television dramas to be aired during the coming Ramadan season. Maksim said he doesn't need to compete in the Ramadan race because of how successful recent drama, Ruby, was.
‘The fact that almost every household around the Arab world was watching the drama truly amazed me and made me proud to be part of it,' he said.
On a different note, Maksim denied rumors that he and his wife fled Syria due to the unstable conditions. He stressed that like any other artist who has a series of projects, he was forced to be in Lebanon and Egypt to film scenes.
Maksim said that he is currently looking through a number of offers to star in Egyptian films and Syrian dramas and he will make an official announcement on his next project very soon.
