Despite the current crisis Lebanese singer Majida Al Roumi is going through, and regardless of the emotional and mental she is in after her recent divorce from her husband, Anthony Devouni, of over 25 years, the singers insists on standing strong and overcoming everything. The singer is back in studios recording the songs for her upcoming album and making sure nothing gets in the way of her career and her long line of success.
According to the London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, Awad, Majida's brother, has refused to make any comment regarding his sister's divorce and what had led to it. After a series of unbearable disputes between Majida and her husband, Awad took his sister and her daughter to live with him in their family estate in order to get away from everything.
Al Roumi had publicly announced her divorce from her husband Anthony after discovering he had an affair with a younger Lebanese woman. The younger woman, named Daniel, is an artist whom Anthony had brought home on the assumption that she is one of Majida’s biggest fans.
Anthony had introduced Daniel to Majida and constantly brought her home to make the situation appear natural. Majida had doubts about the nature of the relationship between her husband and Daniel and began to investigate and watch the two before she discovered the true nature of their affair. Majida had confronted her husband and he admitted that he has been involved with Daniel for almost five years, after he had his first heart attack to be exact.
The singer had tried to keep the lid on her family problems and not publicize her private life, but was unsuccessful in solving her dispute and decided to proceed with a divorce. Majida has made it clear to Anthony that she will not under any circumstance change her mind adding that his actions have destroyed their lives. –Albawaba.com
