Lebanese singer Alissa has been crowned as the new face for the known soap and body care company Lux in the <?xml:namespace prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Middle East, and will be representing the feminine and elegant nature of women.
The Lux Fourth Elegance Festival, which was recently held in Beirut, featured some of the most popular Arab fashion designers and their 2006 fashions.
Alissa has headed off to the United States of America, HollywoodCalifornia, where she will be filming two new television commercials for Pepsi. The new commercial will include a special guest appearance by American pop star Christina Aguilera.
It is yet not known when the commercials will be ready to be aired. By the end of the week, Alissa will return to Beirut and will refrain from taking part in any entertaining activities for some time.
The singer revealed that she made this decision in order to be able to record the songs for her upcoming album without any interruptions.
Recently, Alissa won the ‘2005 World Music Award’ for highest record sales in the Middle East and Northern Africa. Alissa is the first Arab to receive the prestigious award.
Alissa was in the MaldivesIslands after receiving a special invitation from the English magazine Okay. The singer spenta few days in the Maldives accompanied throughout her trip by the crew of the magazine.
The magazine, which only recently launched its Arabic version, will publish different articles about Alissa’s experience in its upcoming editions.
