The popular show Superstar 2 on the Lebanese satellite channel Future, has come to an end and will announce a winner for the title of Arab Superstar 2 after a five-month competition. The competition has narrowed down to two contestants, Aiman Al A'tar from Libya and Palestinian Amar Hassan.

The two contestants have attracted the attention of viewers among all the other contestants, who have been eliminated through viewers votes. The two have succeeded three sessions of the show to reach the point they are today competing for the title and by using the power of their voices and performance.

Many believe that most probably Amar will win the title because the audience will sympathize with him because he is a Palestinian and is believed to have gone through so much suffering throughout his life. Others believe the title will go to Aiman especially after his recent tour with the show to Libya and the hysteria that was caused upon his arrival. Aiman was personally greeted by Libyan President Muamar Kadafi, which is proof that his voice has reached people’s hearts everywhere. It is said that the entire Libyan nation is supporting Aiman because he was able to bring out the Libyan talent to the world especially after a time where not many Libyan artists are in the entertainment world.

According to the London based daily, Al Hayat, many Palestinians are anxiously waiting for the announcement of the winner and are praying that the title will go to Amar. Palestinians in the occupied territories and around the Arab world are showing support for Amar, in addition to political and private organizations.

It has been revealed that the show in its second round has not witnessed as much success as its first round did. The amount of viewers in the first round was much higher and votes throughout the program were much more. The first Superstar ended with crowning Jordanian singer Diana Karazone as Arab Superstar. –Albawaba.com
