ALBAWABA - The Lebanese community was dubbed in sadness over the death of very famous actor Samir Chamas, who passed away at the age of 81.
The death of the Lebanese star Samir Chamas didn't only leave sorrow in Lebanon but also in the hearts of fans across the Middle East.
The Actors Syndicate head, Ne’meh Badawi Chamas, mourned the actor on Facebook, writing: "Samir Chamas, the star of stars, has passed away. He left an artistic imprint and a distinguished presence locally and regionally in theater, cinema, radio and television for more than sixty years, shining. He was an added value to any work in which he participated."
He mainatined: "The Syndicate of Theater, Cinema, Radio and Television Actors in Lebanon mourns the star Samir Chamas, who enriched the artistic movement and Arab drama with many valuable works. It extends its deepest condolences to his honorable family, friends and loved ones. To God we belong and to Him we shall return."
Carmen Lebbos also wrote: "Samir Chamas was one of the actors who left a very important mark in the golden age of Lebanese drama, other than dubbing of course. May God have mercy on him and grant patience to his family and loved ones."

About Samir Chamas:
Samir Chamas was born on November 25, 1942, in Greater Hermel, Lebanon. During his work life, he was an actor, writer, journalist and voice actor.
Chamas got married to Siham Abu Al-Izz and the couple has two children, Rabih and Rima.
He starred in many films and series including Ajmal Ayam Hayati, Al Bahth An Al Hourrya, Nos Darzan, Bayn El Sama Wal Ard and Al Armala W Al Shaytan.
