Lebanese singer Laura Khalil is in the process of choosing the right title for her upcoming album. Most of the songs were recorded in studios in Beirut and Cairo, and the album marks her first since her breakup with production company ‘Rotana.’
According to the Qatar based daily, Al Raya, Laura, who released two albums under ‘Rotana’, revealed that her separation from the company was professional, “with no hard feelings on either side.”
The singer revealed that the new album features a completely different style, and she intends on filming one of the songs with Lebanese director Laila Kan’an, whom Laura considers to be a “very gifted.”
Khalil recently released a new single “Ana Mishta’a” (I Miss You), along with a music video. The singer decided to release the single separately from her new album as a special gift to all her fans. Laura stated that the song was her way of “starting the New Year with something fresh.”
Recently, Laura faced two crises. The first, posters for one of her scheduled concert were purposely torn down and ripped into pieces. Laura stated she could not understand why someone would try to deliberately hurt her. An unidentified singer allegedly tore down the posters out of jealousy.
The second crisis was the circulation of the shocking rumor of her marriage to Lebanese singer Wael Jassar. Laura has denied the existence of any romantic relationship between her and Wael.
