In an unexpected and unplanned gesture, Lana Del Rey revealed intimate and infrequent moments from her marriage, providing a sweet look into her marriage to Jeremy Dufresne, a tour guide who specializes in crocodile tours.
On Friday, April 4, Lana shocked fans on Instagram by sharing a number of affectionate and uncommon pictures from her married life in a special post.
In moments of simplicity and love, the "Young and Beautiful" singer and her husband, Jeremy, were seen grinning broadly. In another picture, Lana and Jeremy were wearing sea captain's hats with the words "Groom" and "Bride" sewn on them, and Jeremy kissed her on the cheek.
As she was getting ready for a performance at the Stagecoach Festival in California, Lana responded to the picture, saying, "Nine crazy months," alluding to her marriage since last September, which she characterized as full of adventures.
In reference to their romance, Lana disclosed that, although she had known Jeremy since 2019, their relationship only gained notice in August of last year. She clarified that the marriage of Jack Antonoff, her business partner and close friend, to Margaret Qualley served as the impetus for her decision to be married.
"I saw the way he looked at her when he met her, and that's a big reason I waited so long to get married and why I met my amazing husband," Lana revealed during Variety's Hitmakers Brunch in December.
She said, "You can still have a rich family life, even when you're rich."
"It's exhausting to have to cling to an innocent vision of how things are in an industry where your values or morals may not align with what's going on," Lana said, acknowledging that it was difficult to find love outside of the entertainment world, despite her contentment. "This is particularly challenging when people assume you lack morals or values," she continued. Thus, it may escalate.
