A number of Kuwaiti artists sent their warmest regards and sentiments to Iraqi people for finally breaking free of dictatorship, which caused them to live as if in a big prison deprived of basic rights. On of the artists who expressed her joy at the freedom finally granted to the Iraqi people is Kuwaiti singer Nawal.
According to the Kuwaiti based daily, Al Qabas, Nawal said that when she watched the joy in the eyes of the Iraqi after they broke free of Saddam Hussain's regime, she realized how much in need they were of freedom and a chance to live in a democratic country. She stressed that she wished all Iraqi's the chance to live in peace and harmony and hope their new beginning is one that will prove to be prosperous and merry.
Nawal said that all Kuwaiti's hoped that their Iraqi brothers make up for the lost times they lived under the dictatorship of their past president hoping they will rebuild their country in the proper way. She added that they will stand to support and help the Iraqi in their new start at a better life.
