Starting 13 March, Opera Gallery Dubai is launching an exhibition titled 'Korean Art – A Contemporary Take on Texture'. Featuring works by 19 artists, this eclectic collection explores the diversity and evolution of Korea’s art landscape with a particular focus on texture and mediums.

Covering artistic practices deeply embedded in tradition to those emerging in the 70s and 80s, like the Dansaekhwa Movement or Minjung Misol, this exhibition traces an explorative cultural legacy that seesaws between tradition and innovation. See how these artists express themselves across a range of materials, from oil paint and ink to ‘Hanji’ paper fashioned from the Korean mulberry tree and industrial products. You'll see works by celebrated creators like Bahk Seon Ghi, Yoo Bong-Sang, Cho Sung-Hee and Lee Jae Hyo, to name a few.
