Khaled Abol Naga was accused of being a "closeted gay" after changing his Facebook profile picture in support of same-sex marriage last month.
His fans were patiently awaiting an explanation for this "unusual" move, but the Egyptian actor and humanitarian felt no obligation to explain himself.
He did however respond indirectly to his haters and those wondering why he is the first Arab actor to support the LGBT community.
The UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador took to Twitter to "explain" himself and tweeted, "If only people give love the chance it deserves, Good will prevail. I only wish God blesses us all to comprehend the diverse rainbow of love."
Make of it what you will, but writing about "the diverse rainbow of love" and "giving love a chance" is a clear enough message that Khaled supports gay rights and peace around the world.
