The new album by prominent Iraqi singer Kathem El Saher, which was released recently, is witnessing significant success among fans around the Arab world, who were anxiously waiting for an album that defines the true meaning of music unlike what is being released in the music industry by unqualified persons claiming to be singers.
The Music Production Company Rotana released the album “La Tilmethuh” (For His Student) for Kathem after endless delay. Kathem had submitted the final copy of the album in mid-August, but the company had postponed the release several times for unclear reasons.
The songs of the album are Kathem’s own composition and features several songs that are expected to find significant success among his fans. Kathem has also submitted the music video for the song “Ahibini Bila Ukad” (Love Me without any Restraints) under the direction of Jordanian director Hussein Du’aibis in order to have it launched on Rotana’s satellite music channel as a promotion for his album. Kathem chose Egyptian actress Hanan Turk for the leading role in his new music video, which is written by the late renown Lebanese poet Nizar Qabani.
The new album features ten new songs that vary in style and genre, in addition to patriotic song in which the singer expresses his true feelings about the current situation in Iraq under the occupation of Allied forces.
