ALBAWABA - Kate Middleton is ending her busiest week of the year in a cheerful manner.

The Princess of Wales, along with nearly 1,600 other guests, participated in the annual Together at Christmas carol service at Westminster Abbey on Friday, December 6.

Finished with a black velvet bow that looked like a Christmas ornament, Middleton looked stylish in a long, bright red coat designed by Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen.

A slit in the coat gave a glimpse of the patterned skirt she was wearing below, and she accessorized it with pointed red suede heels. She accessorized the ensemble with a silver bracelet, a ring on her left hand, and pearl drop earrings.

At the start of the week, Kate also had a busy schedule. On Tuesday, a ceremony welcomed Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Emir of Qatar, and his spouse, Sheikha Jawaher bint Hamad bin Suhaim Al Thani.

In September 2023, she wore a burgundy coat that she had previously worn to a service honoring Queen Elizabeth II. She decorated herself in Elizabeth's jewelry as a memorial to the late monarch.

Middleton's illness struggle forced her to pull back from royal duties this year, but she has now returned to public appearances after finishing chemotherapy.

She went to Southport with her husband, Prince William, and during a dancing lesson inspired by Taylor Swift, they met emergency personnel who assisted victims of a mass stabbing. Last month, she also went to Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Kate Middleton issued a message to guests, including some who survived the tragic attack, before this year's Christmas party. "The Christmas tale encourages us to consider other people's feelings and experiences.

It serves as a reminder of our own frailty, the value of empathy, and how we are all dependent on one another in spite of our differences," she added.

"The story primarily encourages us to choose love over fear," she continued. "A love that is kind and understanding, that listens with compassion, that forgives, and that brings happiness and hope." Every day, not just Christmas, this is the best gift. Even at our darkest moments, love is the light that can shine.
