After reciting the Ramadan prayer “Allah Ya Rahman” (God the Merciful), the Lebanese artist Jowana was surprised to see the amount of love she felt from her fans.
According to the London daily Elaph, Jowana’s prayer is still being aired on satellite channels. It ranked first place among cell phone downloads during the first week of Ramadan on popular Egyptian sites for downloading music, even though the prayer was not distributed in Egypt
Jowana was interviewed by journalist and television host Maysam Durzi. She talked about the meaning of Ramadan and prayer. During the show fans called in from Lebanon and various Arab and foreign countries to congratulate Jowana and wish her the best.
On Monday September 15 Jowana joined a large number of orphans at a restaurant in the center of Beirut for a Ramadan meal and to host a celebration on their behalf.
