Jordanian singer Macadi Nahhas jazzed up Algiers with soulful concert

Jordanian singer Macadi Nahhas presented Thursday evening, to Algiers' audience, a selection of pieces from her repertoire with others from the Palestinian-Jordanian heritage, mingled with jazz sounds and South American rhythms.

The audience of Ibn Khaldoun auditorium enjoyed, during one hour and a half, the purity and vocal presence of Macadi Nahas, who was dressed in Algerian traditional clothing with an embroidered top.

“It is a great joy for me to sing in Algeria and a great honour to wear this beautiful dress,” said the Jordanian singer.

Born in Madaba (South of Aman, capital of Jordan), Macadi Nahhas, a committed artist, sings for freedom and human dignity.

She has made five albums: Kan Ya Ma Kan (2001), Khilkha (2003) El Ahlem Jolla (2009), Ila Salem (2012) and Nour (2014).
