She said, "THIS IS HOW I FIND OUT MY DAD IS DATING LANA DEL REY?!? HELLO???????" voicing how surprised she was to find out about this after fans and social media.

Their unusual relationship together caused a stir across social media with many users on X claiming that Dufrene is "too old" to be with Lana Del Rey with comments such as:
"Is that her boyfriend or dad?"
"Remember this every time you think you don't have a chance, boys..."
"Does he have something over her or something?"
According to the Daily Mail, Lana Del Rey and Dufrene met each other in Mar. 2019 when she shared a social media post with them together and captioned it with, "Jeremy lemme be captain at Arthur's Air Boat Tours," with her tongue out while posing next to him.
Dufrene's daughter then shared a screenshot of a conversation with her father, during which she questioned him about dating the Canadian pop star. When she asked him about their relationship, Dufrene didn't deny the rumors claiming that he "Meant to tell her" about Lana.
