Moroccan singer Janat stated that she is always careful about paying due taxes to all concerts she holds in Egypt and any other country on time. Janat stressed that recent rumors about her avoiding paying her taxes and her ban from singing in Egypt are not true.

The young singer was shocked about the rumors being circulated over the internet especially since the Egyptian Taxation Commission owes her 80 thousand Egyptian Pounds, which she had mistakenly overpaid. She added that she reached an agreement with the Commission that any future concerts she holds the due taxes will be automatically deducted from the 80 thousand.

According to the London based Elaph, the last performance held by Janat in Egypt was on New Year’s Eve.

Janat stressed that there are no disputes between her and the Egyptian Musicians Union and the only issue between them was a few documents the Union requested of Janat.
