The Jeddah branch of the Saudi Arabian Society for Culture and Arts is now showing three films during a monthlong program to increase awareness about the Saudi film industry.

These films are “Al-Marsa” (the Port), directed by Adanan Hassan and written by Abdulrahman Al-Haj; “The Suicide”, by director Abdullah Jalal and writer Tareq Falatah; and “Waswas”, which is directed by Abdul Wahab Dahlawi and written by Moath Bakhedir.

The society's branch in Jeddah also nominated three Saudi films to take part in the eighth annual 'Sciacca Film Festival' in Italy, which begins on Sept. 11. The films are “The Cave”, “Baseera” and “Zomba.”
