Yesterday we reported on Syrian heartthrob Qusai Khouli being deported from Cairo back to Dubai.

The actor had apparently tried to enter Egypt using a forged temporary residence permit, according to Al Jaras magazine.

But now, Samo Zain has quickly come to his fellow artist's defense. Zain said that he was terribly disappointed with some of media outlets' use of the words "kicked out" of Egypt.

The star took to his official website to clarify Qusai's mishap.

"It annoyed me to read the wrong news about actor Qusai Khouli being kicked out of Egypt; he was not 'kicked out' and the incident was that he merely didn't have the right visa on him. Egypt always has its arms open to all Arabs with all due respect."

Meanwhile, Qusai didn't care to explain what had happened and stuck to saying, "You my dears honor me in any place I go to in the Arab world and you are my residence in any country. My love and greetings to you all."
