Prominent Syrian actor Hussam Tahsin Baik denied recent circulating rumors that he filing a lawsuit against prominent Lebanese singer Assi El Hellani over the song “Natalie” that the singer recently released on a number of Arab radio stations. It was said that Tahsin filed the lawsuit due to the fact that the song “Natalie” legally belongs to him and he is the writer and composer of it.

Hussam stressed that a very strong friendship ties him to Assi and the singer had taken his permission before recording and releasing the song. Hussam denied all reports that Assi took the song without his permission and stressed that all allegations are untrue.

With regards to his satisfaction with Assi’s version of the song, Hussam said that Assi gave a warm feeling to the song that made it even more special and unique.

“Natalie” is the only song Hussam ever wrote and composed and is based on actual facts from his life. “Natalie” is the name of a Russian woman Hussam had fell in love with while he was living in Russia and whom her parents had refused to allow her to come to Syria and marry Hussam. His heartache and longing for the woman he loved he wrote and composed a song dedicated especially to her.

After Hussam had released the song, Natalie disobeyed her family and came to Syria and married Hussam and the two had a daughter, who is Syrian actress Nadine Tahsin Baik.
