Holy cow! Here's a short and not-so-sweet story for you about the latest run in with Emirati singer Ahlam by one of her cyber haters.
A tweep by the name of @i_nzo (bravely) tweeted a picture of a bull along with the caption, "This bull in our farm has been refusing to eat for over two weeks now. The vet says that we need to marry him off to a cow for his health to get better... what do you say @Ahlam_Alshamsi?"
First of all, kudos to Inzo for being brave enough to go head to head with the most controversial and ferocious artist in the Arab world. But did he really think that Ahlam wouldn't immediately wage a war on him?
Calling someone a "cow" in Arabic is an insult usually thrown at butch or fat women. "Bull" is the equivalent word used for fat men.
The equally-sarcastic singer hit back at Inzo with a tweet saying, "Why, where's your mother? Is she away or something? She's closer to where you are now, give her to the bull. After all, she's previous experience; she's given birth to a bull (referring to Inzo)."
Despite having 4.3 million Facebook followers and 4.7 millions followers on Twitter, the Internet is filled with satirical memes about Ahlam, who likes to refer to herself as "Queen"!
There's no denying that the 46-year-old diva's tremendous talent and successful career as a singer, but would a (much) more humble Ahlam gain an even higher following if she were to come back down to earth and stop feuding with everyone around her? Think we all know the answer to that!
