Egyptian actor Hisham Abdel Hamid is boning up on history to perform the character of the late Egyptian writer Yousef Al Sibeai in a TV series, according to the UAE daily Al Bayan.
The series, written by Amirah Abul Futooh and directed by Hani Lashin, explores the life of the writer.
Abdel Hamid expressed his admiration for the man whose role he will play in the series, saying he was fond of the late writer’s articles.
“Sibeai was a talented person in many fields, but he was assassinated during a conference he was attending in the Cypriot capital of Nicosia for his views and principles advocating the peace process after the October victory,” added the actor - Albawaba.com
