The trend of Arab singers trying to break into the acting world is growing rapidly, and the most recent singer to join the group is Hisham Abbas.

Most major Arab performers, particularly Egyptian, have released films this summer.

Singer Hakim made his first attempt on the big screen in the film “Ali Spicy,” which proved unsuccessful.

Singer Tamer Husni had better luck with his first leading role in a film “Sidi Atifi” (Mr. Sensitive), and such was the case for singer Hamada Hilal in his summer flick “Eyal Habiba.”

Hisham is currently holding private work sessions with a screenplay writer and close friend, to decide on a suitable film in which the singer will make his debut.

Hisham refused to give any details regarding the outcome the sessions, stating that the film will be a musical that he hopes will released next summer season.

Despite his recent motorcycle accident, Hisham insists he will continue to ride. When his family attempted to stop him for his own protection, the singer stressed that he will not allow fear to interfere with one of his favorite hobbies.

Hisham was rushed to the ICU of Dar Al Foad Hospital after falling off a motorcycle he was riding in Al Qutamia. Those present said that the singer had borrowed the bike from a friend and lost his balance. The singer sustained broken bones, but was in stable condition.

The accident occurred while the singer was participating in a public festival.
