Is it us or does American actor Ryan Gosling bear an uncanny resemblance to the Grand Mufti Haj Amin al-Husseini of Jerusalem?
Turns out, the Mufti was a hottie back in the day!

Interest in the Mufti resurfaced this week after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu bizarrely argued that he was in fact the man responsible for the Holocaust.
While the shocking statement was debunked by historians, politicians and social media, Bibi insisted that "Hitler didn't want to exterminate the Jews at the time. He wanted to expel the Jews. And Haj Amin al-Husseini went to Hitler and said, 'If you expel them, they'll all come here.' 'So what should I do with them?' he asked. He said, 'Burn them.'"
Will this funny coincidence lead to much bigger things, say, Gosling playing the man who, according to Israel's Premier, brainwashed Hitler in "The Life of the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem", a period drama?
One can only hope...and, well... stranger things have happened!
