Prominent Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al Fahed has proved over and over that the success she achieved throughout her career keeps her on top among all others. Whether on stage or on screen, she had well earned her reputation as the “The First Lady of Acting” around the Gulf States, and all around the Arab world.

The London based daily, Al Sharq Al Awsat, noted that any work Hayat undergoes, is a success without a doubt. Whether on stage or on screen, her stardom shines keeping her on top making her the number one gulf actress.

She took up a number of diverse acting jobs always taking her to the top with her audience eager to see what she new work she will offer next. Her current job during the month of Ramadan in the drama “Thaman Umri” (The Price Paid for My Life) has once more proven her capabilities at taken up roles that require extra effort and concentration matching her image, never satisfied with menial roles. Her role in the drama has caused her to be the talk of the town with viewer satisfaction all around.

The daily added that with regards to the role played in “Thaman Umri”, Hayat commented that usually with any role played, an actor cannot give the exact feeling or experience felt until the completion of the work, but in “Thaman Umri” the experience was felt from the beginning. Taking up the lead role in the drama as Nora the mother and sister who sacrifices her life and reputation by taking the blame instead of her only brother and going to jail. After serving a number of years in prison, Nora comes out with shame and ruined reputation that people would not overlook. The real scoop will come to viewers and critics when Nora undergoes a turn of events.

In comparing the success “Jurh Al Zaman” (The wound of Time) found last Ramadan and the breakthrough it achieved by being aired on The Egyptian Satellite channel, a first time for any drama that is not Egyptian. The actress does not believe in comparing works she acts in with each being unique in its own way. The success achieved in one may be the failure in another, so she tries to treat each script individually committing all my time and effort to present viewers with a drama or show that satisfies their needs.

Furthermore, with her theatre acting and the fact that she has been off stage for too long a time, Hayat noted that her absence is due to the lack of new scripts and works for the theatre. She refuses to act in the same manner she previously did. She has always made it a point that what she does now is better than before and so on. Since theatre acting is the most difficult, Hayat is extra careful with accepting any role giving to her fearing any consequences. Of course she is willing to return to the theatre stage as long as an outstanding role is presented to her.

Hayat concluded her interview by adding that the Gulf dramas are proving to be as competent as the Syrians and Egyptians. Throughout the past years, Gulf actors have made it a point to take up challenging roles and always giving all they have in sake of making it to the top. –Albawaba.com
