Legendary Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al Fahd doesn't take on the easiest roles and this Ramadan is no exception. The actress, who is known for her patience and warm smile offscreen, will take on the role of a mother who dedicates her life to looking after her handicapped daughter and her husband who suffers from Alzheimer's.

'Hibr Al Uyoon' (Ink of the Eyes), which will be aired on MBC during the holy month, is a tragic story of one woman's struggles to keep a family together that relies on her for everything.

Hayat, who is known as 'The Lady of the Khaliji small screen', has a habit of picking the toughest roles in her many dramatic performances. In the past  she has played a number of parts in which she is the caregiver of the family. In “Laylat Eid” (Holiday Eve), she plays a character treated as a servant by her brothers and their wives and the drama ends with her tragic death. In others she has been the spinster looking after ungrateful siblings but throughout it all, Hayat keeps smiling to give us some of her best performances on-screen.
