Egyptian actor Hassan Youssef said that the shooting of the film “The President’s Bodyguard” was stopped, as producer Talaat Zakaria has failed to raise enough funding.
“That is why I have declined playing President Mohamed Morsi in the film,” Youssef said.
He said the film was supposed to depict what happened inside the presidential palace, and the role of the Muslim Brotherhood’s Guidance during Morsi's presidency.
He said that he is doing a new TV series to be broadcast in Ramadan. “It is aimed at combating extremism with moderate religious thought,” he explained.
