Egyptian singer Hani Shaker is continuing work on his big comeback to the scenes after an absence that lasted over a year and a half. The singer had held a grand performance at the Arabic Music Festival, in addition to concerts on New Year’s Eve as a means to pave way for his return.

According to the London based Elaph, Hani has as well signed with a new production company ‘Art Line Productions’ and his upcoming album will be produced by them and the distribution will be done by the company ‘High Quality’.

The singer completed recording five songs so far, and has worked with some of the most prominent poets and composers.

Hani had joined the new production company after he announced that he will not join production company ‘Rotana.’

“Rotana does not treat its members fairly and does not distinguish between prominent singers and those who are new to the trade,” said Hani, claiming of ‘Rotana’s’ more than 150 singers, Egyptian singers do not get their rightful share of promotion.

On a different note, Hani has denied rumors that he has amassed a fortune of $US 33 million.  Hani stated that his wealth is not even one tenth of that amount, stressing that to make such a large sum of money a person must have different commercial projects, and not only a singing career.

“The music Egyptian singer Ruby and others of her kind present is not considered real art, but rather nonsense and against all ethical standards,” said Hani during a press conference held at the end of his tour in the USA and Canada. The tour marked Hani’s return to Canada after a five year absence.
