The "King of Romance" Hani Shaker took the courtesy to personally ring up UAE singer Hussain Al Jasmi and congratulate him on the great success of his latest music video for his hit single "Bushrat Khair" (Good News).
The video was filmed in the style of Pharrell's "Happy," featuring Egyptians dancing around while carrying posters with messages encouraging fellow Egyptian citizens to vote in the current Presidential elections.
To some, Hani's gesture was said to confirm that he's not in dispute over the song "Good News" as many have speculated.
Rumor had it that Hani had attacked the song's director (see if i have the director's name from another story) for exaggerating the dance scenes in the video; which the Egyptian superstar stronlgy denied, reported Laha Magazine.
Hani was very disappointed at what was being said on his behalf, stressing that the rumors are nonsense and have nothing to do with him.
Hani has said that he disagreed with the director for using too many dance scenes as if it's the only method used by Egyptians to express their happiness and not for highlighting the beautiful landmarks in Egypt.
In defense of his point, he said, “I'm not against the dance scenes, but I'm against exaggeration with their use, and I find that the spectacular voice of Hussain's on its own is enough to bring joy to the hearts of Egyptians.”
