Egyptian actress Hanan Tork agreed to play the starring role in the film Min Haqak An Tae’sh Fi al Tarawah (You Have the Right to Live Comfortably) in the honor of its screenwriter, late Sameh al Bajuri, who died before the film was shot and directed.

The film will be directed by the late screenwriter’s brother, Hadi al Bajuri, which will mark his debut in direction after the he succeeded in directing a number of musical videos for the most prominent singers.

“I did not hesitate to accept the role offered to me in the film when it was offered to me by Hadi al Bajuri who will direct the film. My acceptance has come out of my respect and friendship with the late director whose talent I admired and whom I encouraged particularly when he was seriously ill,” Tork told the London based Arabic daily al Sharq al Awsat.

The film belongs to the comedy genre and is set in a working class neighborhood depicting the life of a salesman who buys an air-conditioning unit. The salesman tries to benefit from the hot weather in the area by offering his A/C unit for rent.

The film, costarring Abeer Sabri and Mustafa Shaaban, is expected to begin shooting in the middle of next month -- Albawaba.com
